Jim McMannis - "Something tells me Intel used SSE optimized benchmarks..." Jim, In some (not all) you are correct. Now here's a thought - what is wrong with that? NOTHING! AMD chose to separate here and create their own (i.e. 3DNOW) extensions which many AMD-types said was superior. Now you think that Intel performance using SSE is "cheating" - give me a break. (ok, you didn't say "cheating" - but you imply something is wrong with that). Fact - D3D is optimized for both Intel (using SSE) and AMD (using 3DNOW) processors. Are they both cheating? Maybe Intel should be limited to the instruction set from the 386? Maybe they shouldn't use any innovations? Geeeessshhh! By the way, SSE and 3DNOW will play a role (For BOTH companies) in 3DWinbench and 3DMark benchmarks. I believe that 3DWinbench2000 is out (or will soon be) - anyone here any scores? Haim
