This wasn't voluntary- in the sense they could have gotten a successful BLA without having the necessary work in place. Aviron has mucked this up before, not a huge surprise, good science, poor execution is common (e.g. CLTR). MDV is being bought. That's why the stock moved up from the 7's where it lay for so long. I'll miss the nice dividend while waiting for the eventual buyout offer which came last week. Watch out for a slow downward drift in AVIR for the next few weeks. Seems characteristic of the FDA Flu. Like CLTR, GLIA but unlike GENZ or ABGX? I will be back buying AVIR at long term bargain prices. I sold last week on technicals. A bullet dodged. RWR
