Douglas:

I think you share the feelings of the majority of long time FIBR shareholders. After all that we have been through, a buy out at only $30 would be disheartening (of course it is much better than the sub $10 that we were at last month). There was talk of 99 in 99 earlier this year; I for one don't think it was just hype but we might have to wait until 2000 to see it.

Relax its O$icom

it was a roll-up that i completed. having owned the feb 7 1/2's at 2 1/2 the risk/reward ratio became inverted therefore the roll-up for a net credit of 7 was not too hard to ignore. i still participate on the upside and pocket the difference. if i don't see 20 plus the premium then i still have a huge net gain. btw, spoke to an analyst who met with par as well as 5 other analysts last week and he was completely blown away with what fibr has going on. his words--we were all amazed that no one on the street has written on this--i wish i had listened to you months ago. this is incredibly undervalued when you look at the combined entities and this is going much higher and soon.

the feeling i got from this analyst was that he and the others were not in yet and as of today i don't think he had bought any yet although he intends to. the group was not your typical joe gladue types they were high profile and well respected. i certainly hope they jump on board but i would be willing to bet that the buying that we have seen is connected to a number of things discussed here already--scmr,the china telecom conference and the realization that the sum of the parts of this co. is worth multiples of where the whole trades today
imho as always
