Sid also had me convinced that the technology was too complex to make a commercially viable vehicle, and as for stationary power, well forget about that. I had sold some at 23, 24, and 25. But that doesn't bother me because I would definitely be a seller now.

Originally, I thought that the technology was the perfect answer and the company would be faced with a buyout at $70+ per share. Over the past year, and thanks to Sid, I believe that this technology has a lot of challenges and Ballard is only one of many potential players. With respect to a buyout at a high price, they have thrown sand in the ball bearings so to speak on that one. The deal with Daimler is a puzzling one in my opinion. They have a technology joint venture which Daimler gets 2/3 of. Diamler gets 1/4 of Ballard Corp. They have a marketing company that they each get 1/2 of. Heck the only fraction they haven't used here is 1/8. If you thought it was hard valuing Ballard before, give it a try now. ERC never looked so good. I would definitely call this a short, but you may just be right when you say <we can expect it to trend upwards between some trend lines, to some crazy high level, like $70 by the end of the year!>
