BB, I wasn't trying to indicate that I thought i2 would be declared "winner" any time in the near future...clearly CMRC and ARBA add value and are building quite a customer list.

My point was more to highlight the fact that i2 has not yet hit mainstreet, and that few people have heard of them outside of their client base. In my opinion, they have the ability to ultimately dominate in their space (SCM) as well as the direct/indirect goods procurement segment because of their ability to cross sell and leverage their multiple platforms. Beyond that, i2's ability to demonstrate, and derive payment based on, the value they create for their customers is a huge win in the Fortune 500 arena.

In no way am I suggestion that i2 will be free from competition, however. For instance, I firmly believe that companies ranging from credit card services to financial services companies will enter the MRO procurement business at some point -- an issue that ARBA/CMRC will have to deal with over the next twelve months. But I do believe that i2's ability to offer a broader base of services with demonstratable ability to show value derived will push them to the head of the pact.

Just my opinions as usual :)
