You're right, BUT, how much of the Y2k problems will be Greenspan's "fault"? What I mean is , If (when?) the IRS & or Social Security fails, it's Clinton's / Congess's problem & fault, not Greenspan. If a bank or even bunches of the crash burn & fail, that's Greenspan fault. Right? But does the Federal reserve have any oversight of the broad Federal Government? I'm saying "No". Other than banking I don't think Greenspan even gets a peek at the problems or level of fixes.

If Greenspan even wanted to look at the IRS computers or the inventory of programs, would Clinton let him? Would Clinton let Congress look & find out about the problems & fixes?
