Glenn, Dan3, Carl, ALL--I have been through the destruction of a valuable thread, over on CSCO. From good hard technical discussions, the arguments devolved into name-calling, until people got tired of the mudslinging and deleted CSCO from their bookmarks. Glenn, as much as I agree with your positions, I believe you are dead wrong in attacking the people and not their messages. Please,
1. Let's concentrate on the messages, and
2. Let's keep the name calling out of it, and
3. Let's not keep repeating the same arguments, and
4. Let's try to get to the truth, not simply be proponents for a point of view. (Carl, you were guilty of violating this last week when you posted only a portion of a news article, omitting the reference to Rambus. Don Green, you were guilty of this in picking out the 600mbps price, and omitting the 800 alternative. Not big deals in either case, but they do reflect bias and lower credibility.).
I very much appreciate your collective technical expertise. Let's not destroy a valuable resource.
