where do you get your insider trades from. Stockwatch's insider trading search doesn't even list Hinchcliff but I think that Stockwatch is incomplete

Your correct...Stockwatch is incomplete and so is Carlson-Online. They often don't list insiders that haven't trade their stock in several year (like Mr. Hinchcliff). I always look up the latest proxy report on Sedar before I look at the insider reports. The proxy report, put out by the company, will list all insider holdings and options/warrents at a given date. If you look at the one in March 1999 for JDX you will find that Mr. Hinchcliff owns those shares. By going over old proxy reports you can get a feel on how insiders are adding/sub. from their position. In the case of Mr. H the old reports show that he had the shares before and after the run to ~$4.

Best Regards
