Part Off-Topic/Part On-Topic

Hi Bux,

Fair enough. As one who has made a share of money from both QCOM and NOK I am just trying not to get in the middle of it. I have lurked these threads since 1996 so I am vaguely aware of what certain people have been asserting. I have nothing against other people's opinions (in fact I believe I learn more from somebody with whom I disagree) but I need a place where I can go to get relevant information about Nokia. You should by all means defend Qualcomm but then try to add to the information about Nokia in some way. I may not agree with everything Tero has to say but at least he mentions Nokia once in a while. I also want to say that this thread maintains an excellent level of discourse; extremely rare are the personal attacks or abuse. I wasn't trying to imply that when I wrote 'taunt'. Peace.

Here's the on-topic part:
Nokia and others appear to be maintaining their grip on the OS to be used in their devices (the Palm OS) to the exclusion of Microsoft CE. This will clearly be a focus point for Microsoft's wireless strategy. Microsoft has recently responded with the release of a couple PDAs support CE. Although the Palm OS currently possesses the dominant market share one need only look at recent MSFT history to see the pattern. Can anybody help me with how this battle may play out and what possible downside risk Nokia may face if they back the wrong side?

I appreciate all comments,
Terrapin
