>>Net Shepherd Signs Technology Demonstration Contract With Netherlands Government<<

Although this contract represents a relatively small revenue contract, I believe it is huge in its implications for the future of the company. For the most part I have been focusing on the staggering opportunities they have in the Customer Relationship Management area, as well as the Business Intelligence market. This "revenue" project is akin to the gravy on a roast beef dinner.

As soon as this announcement came out, I called my Sister in Law. She is a teacher (She teaches Grade 3). I read it to her and I asked her what she thought. She said that she could see a very big demand for this service. She went on to say that she would love to see it offered to her students as well.

What I take from this is that there definitely is a need, and when the demonstration is complete, I anticipate that many other countries will be ready, willing, and able to provide the same service to their students.

After talking to my Sister in Law, I called Peter Hunt to discuss it with him. He commented that "this demonstration project should open the door for us to many other revenue contracts in both the Netherlands and the Education sector in other countries."

Peter also went on to say that they will share news with us when they can. To quote him directly, here is what he said, "the innovative and complex nature of our technology means that our sales cycle is measured in months rather than weeks, so news in this area will not flow quickly. Our desire to communicate can also be hampered by customers not wanting to have publicity about what they consider as a strategic, and competitive advantage that their technology provides them. Others have told us that they want to ensure that their specific projects are successfully completed before they are announced."

So, I take from Peter's comments that although it seems quiet on the surface, there probably one heck of a lot of activity going on behind the scenes that they can't tell us about - YET!
