Imaging Diagnostic Systems Announces Commencement of Clinical Trials at the University of Virginia Medical Center
PR Newswire - November 16, 1999 09:42

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Imaging Diagnostic Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: IMDS), announced today that the Company has entered into an agreement with the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia as the second approved testing site. The FDA has approved the expansion of this study to gather the additional studies required for the FDA approved protocol.

The placement and installation of the Company's CTLM(TM) device for the investigational clinical studies was concluded last week and the patient scanning commenced Monday, November 15, 1999. These comparative studies will consist of a series of patients with specific abnormalities that will compare the CTLM(TM) results to the current methods of breast imaging such as Mammography, Ultrasound and MRI.

The commencement of this study is just another significant advancement in the evolution of the Company's CTLM(TM) device and its further development towards the FDA approval process.

Imaging Diagnostic Systems has developed the world's first patented laser-based breast mammography system that utilizes state of the art laser technology and proprietary computed algorithms that create contiguous cross sectional slice images of the breast. The examination requires no breast compression or x-rays.
