IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 1999-- FreeRealTime.com Inc. (OTC BB:FRTIE), a digital financial media company, and a leading provider of online, real-time stock market quotes and online financial services, unveiled its newly launched desktop Web Browser Assistant personalized for navigation through the company's online financial services Web site, www.freerealtime.com.
The customized Browser Assistant, which resides on the desktop as a ''tool'' bar, will continually display streaming ticker symbols from the member's WatchList, while providing members with one-click access to the FreeRealTime.com site and real-time stock quotes.
Under the terms of its agreement with Newport, Calif.-based Winfire, FreeRealTime.com will provide a customized Browser Assistant, at no charge, to its 700,000+ member base by providing download capabilities from FreeRealTime.com's Web site beginning Nov. 11,1999.
According to FreeRealTime.com President and CEO Brad Gunn, all Winfire Browser Assistants downloaded from Winfire will be equipped with FreeRealTime.com content, providing an effective ''viral'' marketing tool for attracting new members to the FreeRealTime.com Web site with little or no traditional advertising cost.
