dot com Updates Shareholders on Improvements to its Software Technology

Tuesday, November 16, 1999 08:28 AM

BUFFALO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 16, 1999--dot com Entertainment Group, Inc. ("dot com") (OTCBB: DCEG) a fully-reporting Internet technology company, announced today several improvements in the operation and functionality of its Internet Bingo technology and related information systems. The company announced improvements to the functionality of its award winning CyberBingo(TM) software system and the development and implementation of new E-commerce processing systems in conjunction with its E-commerce partner First Atlantic Commerce of Hamilton, Bermuda.

"In addition to significant operating enhancements which we have made at the request of our current licensee in St. John's, Antigua, we have developed new systems and formats which create amazing deliverability of services, such as advertising, instant game development, promotional activities and owner/operator control, which significantly reduce programming time and place virtually all operating control with the licensee" said Perry Malone, dot com's head of Technology "other comparable software products generally do not contain this advanced technology, which we will now offer as a standard part of our software to new clients and customers".

The company is pleased to be able to offer these improvements to its on-line Bingo technology, which have been the result of several months of on-going consultation with prospective new licensees, joint-venture and marketing partners and sub-licensees. Through these improvements to its on-line game technology systems, dot com will be able to add additional dynamic functionality to other game systems, which are in development.

One such advancement, which is state-of-the-art, is the creation of the Bingo Builder Program(TM), which empowers the licensee with the ability to configure/reconfigure their game systems operations using a simple 'drag and drop' interface. dot com's Bingo Builder Program(TM) is unique because it moves much of the game system customization and scheduling outside of our programmers' control, and places it in the hands of the Licensee. This means that dot com can supply this award winning technology to unlimited licensees, enabling each operator to offer different variations of their game prizes, promotions & scheduling, without our involvement.

"Obviously this will significantly reduce the programming time required to service the needs of our licensees "said Glenn Scott, Director of Marketing "as such we think it will be a huge success with our new and current partners, helping us with our efforts to become known as the international market leaders in the development and improvement of this type of technology".

The company announces its release of CyberBingo Version 4.6, which contains several state-of-the-art systems enhancements, likely making it the most reliable, functional and talked about Bingo game on the Internet. On-line Bingo critics, such as the BingoBugle and WinnerOnline, have reviewed the software and endorsed it as one of the best games on the Internet.

The primary improvements include the introduction of "dynamic content". This feature allows operators to introduce "fresh content" to their systems such as new game patterns, bingo callers, sounds, and "eye catching" animations without requiring players to manually download new versions of the software.

Also included are systems enhancements such as integrated chat and underlying communications infrastructure which further improve system performance and reliability.

The company also announced its partnership with its E-commerce provider First Atlantic Commerce of Bermuda, in the development and improvement of a custom JAVA based interface for Microsoft NT systems. dot com was able to improve and re-engineer the reliability of FAC's E-commerce processing of client player purchases which has assisted the company's deliverability of related services.

This site has links to the CyberBingo(TM) game system (www.cyberbingo.net), which operates 24 hours per day, 120 games each day, and is played by players from countries throughout the world. dot com has taken steps to expand the reach of its Internet and commercial software throughout 1999 and 2000 to become a leading provider of Internet entertainment software products and services.
