Since the OGC-IPT meeting for late April was rescheduled for May - I asked Mr. Kurt Buehler - one of the high mucky-mucky mucks of the OGC - whether it meant the announcements of the GII97 submissions (first phase) would be postponed also

His reply-
Not necessarily... The meeting was canceled because the IPT folks couldn't
arrange for the Joint Mapping Tool Kit (JMTK) people to spend a day with us
in Fort Collins. I saw Sue Kalweit last week at NIMA and they will be ready
to announce before too long (lots of red tape to cover first). This might be
accomplished by the end of next week, I am not sure.
