Vic-- but cpq dropped much more than 50% and did not rebound as ORCL did. It also did not take the techs with it. 3 years ago cpq dropped like a stone also,, but was back in 7 months--- this is a different ballgame as it still has hardly moved from its low and is not keeping pace with its sector, its index, or anything comparable.. it is alone in a rising mkt that even on great days it becomes a struggle to move up on great momentum. Until the institutions return and the tax selling is complete we shall remain in the mud... it would take great news from cpq like great Q3 numbers and positive Q4 guidence to move it much,, and although both of those are likely they will not be timely enough to stop the tax selling. Also a huge number of shares traded from 18 - 22, Many of those will not be held to 30,, or even 25. The first sniff of bad news and it will be like a run on banks in 29,,,
