arnold, those <<potential new technics..>> represent not only the tip of an iceberg, but in an upside anti gravity defying way it also represents a possible iceberg floating on the high seas with 90% of its mass above the water line. I say this because, for example, we all know that Dave Webb is well aware of the types of technology I mentioned simply because he needs as such to comply with enivernmental laws. But sometimes being aware leads one to assume that one already has obtained enough knowledge about that area as to regard spending any more time into it as non productive.
I'am not saying anything new here, we all know from past everyday experiences caused by "getting caught with your pants down" that we didn't know as much or as good as we thought.
That phrase "What you do not know can not .... you." is one we all wish was true at times. My guess is that the internet web access to information is much better to find out the stuff "at the edges" that will not be reported in all those technical magazines, journals and updates that Dave Webb is use to.
Someone once told me after graduating with a Ph.D. in theoretical physic that he did not learned what was important because he spent too much time doing all the homework so that he could A'ce all the tests and graduate at the near top in his class.
He ended up at a world famous research facility and became just another person looking for that Nobel Prize "find". He later realized that he would have not only done better at that place with a different approach, but that bottom line he realized that he "locked up" the way to learn into a way to understand, and its was apples and oranges.

I will start a new thread with the proper name and information after Dave Webb reaches a point where he can update the company web site thru new news releases.
My goal would be to present an ongoing intoduction to TDC thru the post(0). The creater of the thread can ask SI for update access to this zero'th post. This way a person with no info on TDC can collect the most up to date info. I would create post(0) thru selecting of info Dave supplies on the web site that I feel is not hype or misleading.
Also I would keep a running account of what the company is trying to do, and actual results. In worst case the official web site will give a glass 1/2 full, and post(0) a glass 1/2 empty.
One addition I will made to post(0), to give it a real life, is to put a FAQ section on it. This way the good bad dumb stupid and wacko can be referenced easily. Doug |
