Greig, I am very sorry to hear so many people and animals are suffering. So far in my life, I haven't experienced a natural disaster. I only can imagine how helpless people must feel.

You are not alone with your bearish sentiment. There were many bears commenting on the market today after the close. I believe the market over time will become more selective. That is the good companies will continue to do well. Maybe they won't do as well as they have in the past. I think people will become more selective about the mutual funds or stocks that they buy. Of course, this is all a guess.

Good idea to put stocks in your retirement account. I don't have any mutual fund in my retirement account. And I've done extremely well, especially well, because the goverment will only allow me to contrbiute $2,000.00 a year. It is a bit like a game for me. I ask myself "how can I double my little fund every year."

Of course the Seligman Fund has done very, very well.

Talk to you later.
