I believe the Supreme Court Justices are elected for life. So- now we have those liberal Justices picking our corporations apart until there is nothing left of them. Now that Blumenthal is picking on QWST. A new lawsuit developing!! ---------------------------------------------------------- LAWSUIT DENVER, Nov 15, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Qwest Communications International Inc. (Nasdaq: QWST), the broadband Internet communications company, issued the following statement today in regards to a lawsuit filed by the Connecticut Attorney General. "We have stressed to the state Attorney General's office that we have zero tolerance for slamming and that we have already taken decisive steps against those responsible," said Joseph P. Nacchio, Qwest's Chairman and CEO. "We have severed our relationships with those third-party marketing agents we believe are responsible, and we have put additional measures in place to prevent this from happening again. We believe we can compete for customers without resorting to slamming." The company also said representatives from Attorney General Richard Blumenthal's office had informed Qwest that the lawsuit is a routine practice and part of the settlement process. Qwest anticipates resolving the matter in the next few months and will begin providing services in the state shortly. Qwest also denies that it targeted Asian and Latino customers and it does not believe that there are proceedings against the company in the states of Florida and Texas.
