Al Berta and all, I know it is tempting to play the penny gold stocks. But you need to remember that these stocks propel an industry, the gold industry, that does massive damage to the environment. You might be able to rationalize that there are benefits also and so justify your trading. However, be aware that there are grass roots movements forming to make the wearing of gold jewelry as unattractive today as wearing baby seal skin boots. Check recent editions of trendy magazines and you'll see what I mean. E.g. Harpers, Utne Reader, and others.

So you might want to consider giving up your passion for the golden penny and give the environment a break. Or continue and maybe you'll get caught in a big down draft when the jewelry industry, which consumes some 50%+ of all gold produced goes the way of wild mink fur coats and those darling baby seal skin boots.

You decide. But in this in day and age, I personally believe that giving up the golden penny is appropriate behavior.

Please think about before you trade another gold (or silver) mining stock and make a conscious decision you will be able to answer for to your grandchildren (or pet baby seals).
