Waco was a case of a few nuts who went too far

Bullcrap.

Waco was a case of two federal agencies who placed their internal desires above the interests and rights of citizens.

The ATF simply wanted a splashy headline-making arrest right before their budget hearings. They didn't see Koresh as dangerous. Hell, two "undercover" ATF agents went over to the church a few days before the incident and went shooting with Koresh. They handed him their guns to look at. They shot with him on the BD internal shooting range. Koresh knew they were federal agents all along. Is this the way you would act toward a violent, dangerous criminal? Nuts.

The FBI was embarrassed by hanging around with nothing happening, they were embarrassed that their psychological warfare (shining bright lights into the church all night long, playing obnoxious music through loudspeakers, etc.) They were embarrassed, and

Watch the lawsuit in Texas. Coming to trial next Spring. This is already turning over a lot of rocks under which some very unsavory things are coming to light. And more is to come.

Are you aware that the government has admitted making up spurious drug charges in order to justify the use of military facilities and equipment? They also made up the child abuse charges, and have admitted doing so.

I am not a conspiracy theorist, but I also don't close my eyes to abuses by our government. Didn't in the 60s, don't now. Absolute power DOES corrupt, and our federal government has virtually absolute power. There is IMO no question that our federal government is corrupt, and no longer (if it ever did) exists to serve the citizens of the country.

Jefferson said it best: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots." Whether the patriots win or lose, without their struggle, liberty is lost.
