Pink: I know what you mean about these cyanide and arsenic-spewing bastards but I'm not really concerned about what kind of an environment we'll leave for our grandkids. Afterall, air emissions standards are the strictest now than ever before in history. Hydrogen and electric powered cars will likely make smog a quaint memory from days past.

Advances in solar power, energy efficient homes, cars, trucks, furnaces etc. are dragging down the use of fossil fuels. Water polution standards too are draconian to the point that surface water is now generally cleaner than it was a decade ago. Dolphins are again swimming the Thames River in London, something that hasn't happened in over a century.

So, I guess my point is, times change, technology renders one environmental fad after another, precious. And, my seal-skin boots were the best damn winter boots I ever owned. Water-proof, warm. Damn comfie. So why should only the Eskimoes get them when, in reality, seals are a friggin rodent, number in the tens of millions, and are cod-eating my Newfie bretheren out of work.

There's probably even a biblical case that can be made for killing them. Are you some kind of anti-Christian?

You should see my new Rolex. 18 carot. Beautiful.

Cheerio, AL.
