No, with punched cards, you normally had to put all the info on each card. Therefore, on every date field on the card ie. "process date, pay date" etc, we had to store actual dates.

I am quilty of storing 4 position dates ie. (6901) for 1969, but I am SURE that none of my autocoder programs (IBM 1401), or accounting machine programs (IBM 602, 604) are still being used since they were programmed in late 60's.
