There was this time that I was speeding down a street and calculating how fast I had to go to get through the yellow light... We've all done that. But, I noticed a cop on the other side of the road which initiated the instant reflex of foot on break - and hard. This of course caused a lot of squealing and fish tailing but a damn fine stop before the second line at the cross walk if I do say so myself. The cop, not being stupid,blind or deaf, noticed my little display and made his way over to my car. He came up to the window and calmly asked "What in the Hell were you doing...?" At the time I had a puppy in the car and explained the puppy had gotten underneath my legs causing the disruption in my otherwise exemplary driving skills... He said. "Put the dog in the trunk" and walked away.
