MP, I need help understanding this field. First of all, what platform is most commonly used for making and setting up web sites? I thought JAVA, Unix, and Linux, as well as MSFT NT were used. Please explain. I know very little about this business and would love to learn something from a pro such as yourself. IF MSFT NT is one of the platforms, and DRTN is 100% stuck with MSFT NT platform, doesn't that mean that they are missing the rest of the market? How much market share does each platform have? A lot of people are just sick and tired of Bill G. and MSFT, doesn't that mean they will prefer to use other platforms? If DRTN is stuck with NT, then they will lose out.

Also is DRTN involved in hardware side as well? Or are they just web hosting supplier? According to what I learned from you, DRTN just handles and designs your web site. Is that correct? If yes, then what is it so special? Aren't there a lot of companies, and mainly small outfits doing the same thing? What am I missing?

I would like to thank you in advance for your answers. I am sorry if some or all of these questions sound stupid, but as I indicated earlier, I do not know anything about this field. Thanks for the eductional answer!!!
