?? Do you have a favorite politician who reflects your beliefs,?
Every once in a while a politician goes temporarily insane and takes a position that benefits mankind. When and while this occurs, that person is my favorite politician.
?? do you hate them all?
When they are being political, I pretty much hate them all. Conservatives, because they get off on being political all too often, earn and deserve my venom more often than anyone else.
?? Do you think that Bill Clinton and his various associates have committed any crimes?
This question typifies the stupidity and bigoted mind set of the conservative. Tell you what, instead of the name Bill Clinton in that question, substitute the name of ANY former President or for that matter, any person including David Knotts, Ron Hager or the Pope. Then try to seriously answer the question. Maybe then you will see that it is a truly stupid political question.
?? is the UFO crowd the only ones who believe that?
Oh no, there are lots of people that can't think for themselves OR have political motives for spreading unsubstantiated lies. More political scum. You can recognize them because they refuse work to find solutions to the real problems of our country and instead seize any opportunity to engage in vile personal attacks on others just to gain some political advantage. They get their kicks from winning the political war rather than from performing any public good. Get off of it scum. Your hand picked Republican Whitewater Independent Counsel after spending nearly $30 million dollars still can't even fabricate evidence against our President. Then, when Kenneth Starr tried to quit the job, someone got to him and he is back on the case. I for one wonder what he was threatened with or promised that caused him to return. I for one will have to see some real proof not something fabricated by the very prejudiced, and not very independent, Independent Counsel.
?? Are there too many regulations on the books?
There are far too many stupid regulations; federal, state and local. There are not enough intelligent regulations. Politicians have too often enacted legislation that was not good for mankind, BUT was in agreement with the individual political, social or religious perspective of the politician. We need to get these off of the books and enact legislation that benefits all people, regardless of their political, social or religious perspective. Of course this will never happen. Largely because no conservative would ever set aside their political, social and religious perspective, except for personal gain, that is.
?? Are there too many regulatory agencies?
There are far too many stupid regulators; federal, state and local and there are not enough intelligent regulators. Too many politicians reward their benefactors and friends with regulatory positions. No one elected Greenspan and his cronies at the Fed, but we are stuck with him. I've been burned by his actions and remarks several times. As unhappy as I might be with the impact on me, I doubt that getting rid of the Fed will be good for all Americans. I'm confident that one's level of satisfaction with any of the regulatory bodies depends far more on the person's politics and religion than any intellectual consideration.
?? Should the Federal Government be as involved in states' activities as they are?
Sometimes the Federal, State and Local Governments are far too involved in our individual lives and sometimes they are not involved enough. I've lived a long time and whenever I have heard a States Rights issue discussed in detail, I have usually determined that the State involved was not protecting its people. Instead the politicians in the state were protecting one group of people over another; favoring their people over people that were not of their race, social status, political persuasion, religious belief, et cetera. It makes sense to me that issues that affect all people need to be determined at the highest governing body.
?? Should the states be more autonomous?
As far as I'm concerned, there is far too much stupidity and political prejudice at the local level. Maybe that is because all the really intelligent crooks are in Washington or employed in the private sector. I guess the idea of States Rights is that it is better to be screwed by one's neighbor than by a complete stranger. If for one minute you think local autonomy is beneficial then you need to study the history of this country from that perspective. More crooks abound and more crimes have been perpetrated against Americans by their State and Local officials that Washington could ever imagine.
Well David, I've tried to respond to your need for more information. However, I don't have the same need from you. Based upon your posts and your stupid, politically oriented questions, I am pretty sure I already know more about you than I care to. But, as I said before, if you happen to be a better person than I think, then please, in the name of all that is decent and good, go ye forth and convert the rest of the conservative scum and thus save mankind. If you do, I will keep my promise to take up the conservative banner.
