Gary, glad to hear that you were able to use my suggestions with trace routes to improve your connection to InterQuote. MCI has very good backbone connections. Sometimes when I am using my own provider Netcom, the pathway to Interquote may change (for just a few minutes) because of Netcom route problems. When this happens, they have to route to the agis backbone thru Chicago, and sure enough I have more than normal data lose. I know that eventually, the Chicago agis.net route will improve their connection thru that area. For me, Netcom is the least troublesome connection from Florida to Interquote during the trading day, but at night - it is to busy and difficult to log on. I use another provider for that time period. It would be nice to have one good overall provider though. Please let me know the performance of Voyager Online during a variety of hours.

You will always experience a problem with data flow now and then using InterQuote, but finding the provider that gives you the least headaches is the solution. I bet you that given enough time, the backbone of the future will be very reliable. If you want to have a 99.9% problem free connection, you must get someone like BMI or other satellite providers for your realtime quotes. I may someday make the jump to this expensive alternative, as I am sure that I probably have lost enough money from data lose to pay the difference.
