John,I wish Intel would spell out what the issue is. It could be a combination
of several things:

1) Poor forecast for the quarter; can't get parts from JIT suppliers
2) Not enough manufacturing capacity
3) Unprecedented and therefore unpredictable demand growth
4) A screw up by a vendor in the supply chain
5) Other

Hopefully Intel will make a public statement to clear up this mystery. It
would be nice it they revised 4th Q guidance upward in the same
statement <g>",
