MSFT is looking very bad - Bill DO SOMETHING !!

I am painfully long but believe MSFT will loose a point or two EVERY DAY as longs cash out to buy stocks that move - we're missing out on a great growth period in internet stocks - the opportunity cost of holding MSFT is becoming too great.

So ... My humble proposal for resolving this 'thing':

MSFT GIVES:
- Public, published pricing policy on Windows; no more sneaky deals.
- Published Windows API; MSFT apps tested to conform soley to it; no more sneaky back-door OS ties (ie, if SUNW wanted to support Windows API in Solaris, MSFT apps would work, guaranteed. Let the best OS win.) Potentially more platforms for Microsoft apps!
- Release 'look and feel' of Windows desktop to the channel so they're free to add/change whatever they want - the channel has the 'right to innovate' as much as MSFT and pick/choose whatever they want to package/sell.

MSFT GETS:
- MSFT RETAINS their 'right to innovate'; FREE TO add / give away whatever they want to Windows (ie, SUNW can do this with Solaris too; again, let the best OS win)
- All MSFT source code remains proprietary
- MSFT corporation stays intact

BILL: Propose it in a newspaper ad & let's GET THIS OVER WITH !!!

Any Comments?
