Speaking of which, Wily, you can buy a PC700 RDRAM-equipped desktop at Dell for approximately $2000. Compaq also recently posted the fastest SPECint95 scores with their new SP750 workstation, utilizing Intel's 840 chipset and PC800 RDRAM. This workstation surpasses even Digital Alpha's SPECint95 scores. As for DDR, will they be relegated to niche-dom, or will they overtake Rambus as the mainstream memory technology?
