Frank,

I'm not a shareholder of MSFT. Giving up rights to Windows
would not be easy, but it's not the end of the world for
MSFT, either. Over 40% of gross comes from the sale of Office.
There's plenty of money to be made in apps. The only thing
MSFT would have to give up is its stranglehold (monopoly)
on the desktop market.

If I were a long on MSFT, I'd be SCREAMING for them to settle
& give up Windows, so the company could put all this behind
them & move on. If they don't, and choose to "fight it out"
they are just going to prolong the agony. Fighting a political
battle to solve their anti-trust problems is a LOSING strategy.
You can't trust politicians, Frank. Not of any stripe. They're
all cut from the same cloth. They will talk the talk until
you have faith, but getting them to walk the walk is another
story altogether.

Good luck to you & all MSFT longs.
