And QCOM is in the right part of the mobile phone market, IPR and ASIC. Eventually, handsets will become a commodity, with the Chinese and Koreans dominating the market. I'm far more dubious about China - they have a long history of patent violation, though perhaps entry into WTO will help this situation.
