What a great way to put G&K in perspective, Bill. My own portfolio has returned 274% since we started this experiment in Gorilla-ology on 2/15/99, a little off its high of 314% on 11/10/99. Playing host to a bunch of brilliant investors/philosophers has been a rewarding experience, in terms of both financial and psychic payback. Granted, I've had to take a few bullets in the process, but I also have a treasure of messages I've received from people who have prospered from watching our version of Ed TV. I just came home from my last visit to the office. I picked up my final paycheck, signed the exit interview forms, and then asked my admin to cut my silk tie in half. I hung one piece in my office and will save the other half as a memento of over 30 years working for Corporate America.
