Howard Burris returned my call today. They have a second scanning machine under construction for use in Austin. Mr. Burris stated that Alliant Techsystems will have the use of this machine for 1 week per month, and SMS will be able to sell scanning services on the machine to other customers the rest of the time. They are working on the 10K. The auditors were there last week. He couldn't give me an exact date when that will be filed but did say they want to get it done earlier than last year. As was the case with other shareholders that I know of who have spoken with him in recent months, he wouldn't say anything about deals they are currently working on. He did mention (without my asking about it) some information I had sent him about increasing the company's visibility and doing some investor relations (see post 5067 on this board). So if and when things ever come together he is thinking about how to increase the value of his shares and ours. I do know that the engineering/scientific people are very excited about the new product or process or whatever it is that was demo'd a couple of months ago. Hopefully something will eventually happen with this. However, Mr. Burris was careful to emphasize that he couldn't say anything about it at this time.

As is obvious from the recent price action of this stock, people have been bailing out, and I can't really say I blame them. However, I'm going to continue to hold my shares since the company is still operating as a going concern and it's my opinion that the value of the company's technology is far greater than the current market cap.
Byron
