The company raised $2.16 billion with its offer of 72 million shares of common stock, the company said in a release. Morgan Stanley Dean Witter served as the lead underwriter. Earlier Wednesday, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based Agilent increased the number of shares it would offer to 65 million from 57 million, and raised its expected price range from $19-$22 per share. "Agilent is a very big company and it's growing very quickly," said Tom Taulli, an analyst at Internet.com. "It's not easy to find a company like that, especially at IPO stage." "I think it may shoot up," Taulli said. "It will be fairly strong because the terms and size had been raised." Agilent provides test and measurement products for such high-growth areas as the semiconductor and healthcare industries. |
