Hi Jeff,

The 56 point thread is a Technical Analysis thread started
by the resident guru Doug R. It seems to me to be a
friendly place where I can float TA questions or get
opinions on specific stocks.

The scan that I post has evolved over a year or so. It's
purpose is to try and identify stocks that might be good
short term (1 day to 5 days) prospects.

The "interesting scan" or RSI scan that I post scans about
3000 equitys and find stocks that have the following characteristics:
1. Cross of the 13 day RSI over a moving average of the
RSI ( defines a rising RSI)
2. Cross of the 13 day CCI over a moving average of the
CCI ( defines a rising CCI)
3. Volume increasing over the past 2 days.
4. Higher lows over the last 2 or 3 days.
5. A 89 day stochastic that is rising and over a limit.

The stocks that pass these characteristics seem to possess
about a 50-90 percent chance of being good picks. (general market conditions affect the results).

If one is interested in any of the stocks, examine it carefully and make sure it passes your personal tastes. there is no guarentee, only a starting point.

For example, the results generated by using the end of day data for Nov 17th, yield the following:

ADAP AEIS AMD BARZ BJS CDN CELG CGNX CLRS CYGN DSTM
DWTI ESIO FCST IDPH JEFF KLIC NBR NMGC NSM ORCL PESC
RCCK SATH SDLI SPF SPNC SSW SVGI VSH WPNE ZMBA

good luck..hope this helps
