Hello Hickory,
I am a shareholder of RIS (1000 shares) which recently split into two companies as you are probably aware. V.UPH is one of the new companies and consists of $300,000.00 in cash, and 11,726,000 shares of Ultra Petroleum. According to the detailed quotes on the Vancouver exchange home page, V.UPH has 8,790,000 shares outstanding. (I now own 250 of the shares as they were issued on a one for four basis)
V.UPH is quoted today at .80 T.UP is quoted today at 1.22
According to my math, each share of V.UPH represents 1.33 shares of T.UP . If I multiply 1.33 times $1.22 I get $1.62. Plus $300,000.00 divided by 8,790,000 shares adds in another .03 bringing it to $1.65.
Can someone on the thread tell me what I am doing wrong, or should my 250 shares of V.UPH actually be worth $1.65.according to the price of Ultra Petroleum.
Thanks, Keith |
