Supplybase Announces New Hosted Supply Chain Service,

Supplybase.exchange, for Collaborative Development and
Sourcing of Custom Parts and Assemblies
Business Editors

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 16, 1999--

New Hosted Service to be Integrated Into I2 Technologies'
TradeMatrix.com and Supplybase Portal to Allow Broader Segments of the
Technology Manufacturing Market Access to Supplybase Solutions

Supplybase, a leading provider of supply chain management
solutions for the development and sourcing of custom parts and
assemblies, today announced a hosted service targeted at a broader
segment of the product manufacturing market.

Supplybase.exchange, available in the first quarter of 2000, is a
collaborative, fee-based, hosted service aimed at mid-level product
manufacturers. It enables buyers and their strategic suppliers to
develop and source custom parts and assemblies without having to
install any software on site. The service, which uses standard
configurations and processes and is based on industry best practices,
will be available through multiple channels including the portal
www.supplybase.com and solutions partners such as i2 Technologies.

As part of Supplybase's solution partner strategy to aid channel
development and integration of its higher-end products, Supplybase
will leverage its relationship with i2 Technologies by making the
Supplybase.exchange service available through i2's TradeMatrix.com
portal. Supplybase.exchange has been selected as the custom parts
solution provider included in the first release of TradeMatrix.com
targeted for early 2000.
"With Supplybase.exchange, Supplybase is extending to all
manufacturers the ability to work with their strategic suppliers in a
collaborative environment via the World Wide Web," said Dennis P.
Stradford, president and chief executive officer, Supplybase Inc. "By
rolling out this service through Supplybase.com and by working with i2
Technologies to make this available to an even broader audience, we
believe more manufacturers will be able to leverage our solution for
custom part sourcing and development."

"i2 Technologies is extending its relationship with Supplybase because we believe they have the best solution for developing and
sourcing custom parts," said John Fors, director of product lifecycle
management solutions, i2 Technologies. "We understand that custom
parts can make the difference for our customers in beating their
competitors to market, and we're addressing this critical piece of
their strategy by including Supplybase.exchange in TradeMatrix.com."

Supplybase.exchange differs from Supplybase.manager, a Web-based
client installed application for custom development and sourcing
targeting the high-end segments of product manufacturers, in pricing,
channel delivery, and user configurability and integration options.
Supplybase.manager is sold through a direct sales channel with
user-based pricing, while Supplybase.exchange is a fee-based service
sold through multiple portal sites.

Supplybase.manager is highly configurable and can be integrated
with customer's ERP systems. Supplybase.exchange requires no
professional services, is standalone with no integration, and is
available in standard configurations that adhere to a customer's
internal best business practices. Both Supplybase.manager and
Supplybase.exchange leverage the centrally hosted supplier and
industry content maintained in Supplybase.central.
