if great science goes to the simple, elegant, universal solution: assuming the world will demand total mobility - upstream and down - and maximum capacity: Will not someone find it by wedding the right technology for the best overall frequency to cover all usages w w lists and more:
narrowband mobile, local loop, campus LANS, LMDS, point to point high capacity - all.
I guess you'd say, "well, yes that's everyone's goal." Then wouldn't qcom, brcm, lu, txn, csco et al, spend their time and money better teaming up for the solution; given that now they are turning to short term solutions like OFDM - all flavors - for competitive reasons. if so, would you hazard a guess at where they could start? say a subsidiary thread called "Last Mile Technology - Let's discuss it here." j |
