Sure, there are many ways in which culture in the broad sense is transmitted. I thought that we were discussing cultural products in a narrower sense, however....Just as there is a tendency for the economy to identify and fulfill all manner of needs, by virtue of entrepeneurs looking for niches to fill, so it is with culture. There is something for everyone, from "Cries and Whispers" to "Dumb and Dumber". With the proliferation of cable, even a medium such as television has become more able to find niches. All manner of educational levels and personal tastes can be accommodated.....
