12 massacred in Bihar

Suspected extremists butchered 12 members of a family near Lotwa village under the Chatarpur police station in Palamau district of south Bihar last night.

State Director General of Police K A Jacob told UNI in Patna today that rivalry between two extremist groups led to the massacre. The victims included women and children.

Jacob said, according to preliminary reports reaching the state headquarters, both Maoist Communist Centre and Peoples War Group extremists were involved in the incident.
