Jeff,

Ok...here's the deal. I put in way too much time devising several systematic approaches that describe what stocks do that are effective but require one to actually learn what they are about. Ya see, stocks "behave". I take a behavioralist approach to TA. As you may know, a person's behavior patterns are developed over their entire lifetime. There are also significant singular events within any lifetime that might effect a change in behavior. My techniques tend to separate stocks that have had no significant singular event that disturbs a "natural" progression from those that have. In the cases of singular events, there are several, as displayed in the chart activity, that have generally consistent outcomes. These stocks give buy and sell signals relative to that event.
Then there are those that just mosy along with no significant singular events. They behave in a certain way that allows me to use TA in order to take advantage of fairly obvious buy and sell patterns. In these cases I use chart activity that spans across as many years as I can get data for. I have devised a systematic approach that uses a progressive series of parameter sets across an array of indicators that are tuned in to very particular price chart activities which I have found to be significantly indicative of appreciation on an accelerating basis.
On top of all this, I host and teach seminars for small groups of traders in order to build a group of people who can all communicate on the same level of understanding. There are always some from each class who take my work and advance certain aspects to a higher level. That synergy is then shared among those who remain focused on what TA is about....learning and innovating.
The entire product has become quite massive. It's a freight train.
There are some extremely awesome scans that have come out of the seminars. There are new market forecasting techniques. There are new methods of mapping out support/resistance levels that bring price-behavioral dynamics into sharper focus.
Actually, I'm amazed at how far things have come in such a relatively short time. It's very much due to the caliber of people who have elected to become involved.
It's alot like a saloon. We've all actually met each other...really........face to face. We all know each other. The 56 thread is not just the internet.
