The solution is easy: ENFORCE POSTING QUOTAS! Some of SI has turned into a chat room. I'm sure it doesn't help that posts like "I sent you PM, did you get it?" are saved with everything else and will still be retrievable in a few years. Certain people think SI profits by increasing the number of posts because it will increase the click count.
