Roger: Awhile back I had a conversation with a regional marketing manager with Sun and he said they are looking into the future with the potential for Java chips and applets controlling all sorts of household devices - smart lighting for intstance. Now where Corel follows the Java wave, I can't really predict, but it's a safe bet they'll at least have a crack at any market opportunities by virtue of their early development efforts.

With respect to other comments about where will Java be used, the "cost of computing" issue is huge for companies these days. They recognize that there is a tremendous amount of maintenance in the bloated windows boxes and will respond well to the business case made by the Java/Network Computer model, once the applications are stable.
