Multex.Com Ranked Among The Top Ten Online Financial Services Firms In Revenue by Inter@ctive Week Business Wire - November 18, 1999 07:15 NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 1999--Multex.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: MLTX) has been included as one of Inter@ctive Week's Top 10 Financial Services Web sites by revenue:
  1. Charles Schwab 2. TD Waterhouse 3. E*Trade Securities 4. Fidelity Investments 5. DLJ Direct 6. Ameritrade Holding 7. Intuit 8. Datek Online Brokerage 9. Mortgage.com 10. Multex.com
In the study, Multex.com also ranked 108th overall in online revenue, ahead of some well known brands such as Borders.com, TheStreet.com, Theglobe.com, MarketWatch.com, PC Quote, and USA Today.
"The numbers don't lie," begins the first-ever ranking of the Internet's 500 largest e-companies conducted by Ernst & Young, MIT, and Inter@ctive Week. The study is based entirely on the revenue these businesses generate through online operations. The article points out that Multex.com's inclusion in the list shows that you can sell Internet content as long as you present the information investors want.
"Our placement in this study among the top revenue-generating financial services firms on the Internet is consistent with our solid business models and superior products and services," said Isaak Karaev, Chairman and CEO of Multex.com. "As the article points out, we supply proprietary content in the form of valuable investment research from the world's premiere analysts and third-party research providers. What isn't as obvious, and what contributes to our material success, is that we are also supplying some of the delivery infrastructure for the world's leading investment firms--Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney, among others--that will allow them to compete in the online investment arena of the 21st Century."
This was really surprising. I would though TSCM, SIEB, HOOV might be higher. I am wrestling with taking some profits, but this good news. I'd like to get the link to this whole scheme. Sounds like good research for other picks. Maybe next week, this PR will get an analyst moving for a report. Jack |
