Ok, I sort of agree. BUt I would also argue that I don't WANT to know people in 3d the way I know people here. I would rather judge people by behavior than know what they are REALLY thinking- or more realistically what they claim to be thinking. Because just as obesity, or bad hygiene or whatever, get in the way in 3d- sloppy thinking or ugly thinking, get in the way here. And you can't get rid of people in 3d the way you can here. If you combined the things that bug you in 3d with the things that bug you here- you would have very few friends- well I would have very few friends. Because I suspect some of the people I work with in girl scouts, and school, and my volunteer activities have ideas I very much disagree with- and if we talked about those ideas I wouldn't be happy working with them anymore- so we don't talk about them.
