I believe this has not been adequately covered by the press, but the lead plaintiff has recanted her position and says she never wanted an abortion to begin with. I believe there are other factual misrepresentations which were made to the Court as well but don't recall all the details now. I remember seeing some articles on the subject when the 25th anniversary of the decision was publicized. In any event, I regret to inform you that I am one of those heretics who believes the idea of "penumbras" is a smoke screen for judicial activists who like to legislate from the bench. JLA
