People should realize that MS Windows cannot do anything that Linux can't do, and that Windows is bloated with junk that people don't care about and that its just an operating system. The boxmakers need to embrace Linux and help it because its in their own interest that their boxes work with a minimum of fuss. They can also cash in on upgrades and support instead of giving away that business to MS. They can even start a software company to produce add on software for sale.
