Nereo Piticco, partner in Toronto-based PCJ Investment Counsel, is overweight the energy sector.
..."Energy stocks do not reflect the full benefit of an oil price at $24 (US) per barrel."
Mr. Piticco's principal holdings in this sector are Alberta Energy, Canadian Natural Resources and Talisman Energy.

Mr. Piticco says the impact on Talisman stock of international criticism of the company's stake in a Sudan oil consortium is hard to quantify. Instead, he is focusing on "management's ability to grow shareholder value; the stock is a good investment."
