Kraft Foods Implements viaLink's e-Business Services Business Wire - November 18, 1999 04:46 DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 1999--The viaLink(R) Company (Nasdaq:IQIQ) today announced that Kraft Foods Inc., the largest U.S.-based packaged foods company, will expand its use of the viaLink Item Catalog(TM) service beyond the Kraft Pizza Company into all of Kraft's retail products.
The viaLink Item Catalog will support Kraft's e-Commerce strategy by providing synchronized information on products and prices to their trading partners. Because of the shared database nature of viaLink's services, Kraft expects to be able to expand the implementation of their e-Commerce strategy more quickly to key customers.
In addition, Kraft will combine the Item Catalog with viaLink's Item Movement service, which captures retail point-of-sale and warehouse information. Both viaLink services are currently utilized by the Kraft Pizza Company.
