COPPER HILL CORPORATION ("COPPER HILL") DISCOVERY HOLE
PN-99-01 INTERSECTED BANDED SILICATES-POLYMETALLIC BASE
METAL SULPHIDES WITH UP TO 7.4% Zn HOSTED IN ROBERTS ARM
BELT

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND--Copper Hill is pleased to report very
encouraging assay results from the vertically drilled borehole
PN-99-01 on its North Powderhorn Lake property, Central Mineral
Belt of Newfoundland. The property is situated 40 km south of
Springdale and 40 km west of the Central Newfoundland community of
Grand Falls-Windsor, adjacent to the Trans-Canada Highway.

As previously reported (Press Release 99-07) the sulphides are
dominantly stritiform/stratibound and are hosted by variably
silicious lithologies (sediments/tuffs/rhyolites). Similar
mineralization has been observed in outcrops and boulders
dispersed throughout the property. These host lithologies are
geologically equivalent (L. Dickson, Dept. of Mines and Energy,
Government of Newfoundland and Labrador) to the Roberts Arm Belt
which hosted the Buchans VMS deposits (17.8 million tonnes
averaging 14.88% Zn, 7.7% Pb, 1.3% Cu, 3.7 opt Ag and 0.045 opt
Au; Zn:Cu ratio of approximately 11:1). The analytical results
from borehole PN-99-01 (given as ranges) tabled below are arranged
in order of increasing in hole and stratigraphic depth.

The results suggest the following:

1. The presence of a primary metal zoning with a zinc-facies
(6.4 to 26.8 m) variably rich in Pb-Au-Ag-Cd, and a Zn:Cu ratio of
approximately 10:1 overlying a Cu facies (26.8 to 33.8 m) with a
Zn:Cu ratio of 1:1 to 1:10.

2. The primary metal zoning agrees with stratigraphic "tops"
being uphole, which in turn, would agree with a structural
location on the east limb of the regionally-identified anticline.

3. Within the zinc facies (17.0 to 26.8 m) the relative
concentrations of Pb and Ag decreases with depth, whereas the
relative concentrations of Cu and Zn increase with depth.

4. The higher grade Au mineralization (250 - 2540 ppb)
encountered on surface at the Lake Zone and the Road Zone (Press
Release 99-03) was apparently not intersected at the depth
penetrated.

It remains to be proven that vectoring of mineralization will in
turn assist in identifying variations in the intensity of
alteration and cordierite development in the footwall lithologies.
Also, PN-99-01 being randomly located and drilled to a depth of 36
m will greatly assist in the data interpretation from future
geophysical surveys. The drill rig remains on site.

All analyses were performed by Eastern Analytical Ltd., Springdale
Newfoundland. Copper Hill which trades on the CDN holds a number
of mineral exploration projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. For
further information, please call 709-739-4780; fax: 709-739-4785,

project location maps and other data.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,

Earl R. Benson, President.
